Get to Know Me

It seems everyone has a standard About Me page that speaks about all the professional services they offer, but never actually lets people know they are more than a real estate agent. I compare it to all your school teachers that you had in the past. As a student, you would have never guessed they led any kind of life outside of the school. I’m here to tell you that I do in fact enjoy life and lots of different things associated with a wide variety of topics…Here are a few!

Family

I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world, Christy. We met while attending the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and haven’t looked back on what we call life’s ADVENTURE. We live in Indian Trail, NC in the popular Union County area of the greater Charlotte Metro area.

We have two cats, that fight every day. After a long period of having only one cat, we thought it might be a great idea to bring another cat “friend” into the mix. Apparently our spoiled cat, Allie, didn’t like this idea, and has since decided our master bedroom is her permanent retreat. The new cat, official name Phoebe aka “Couch Kitty” (because she is the same color as our couch and blends into it quite nicely) has taken on the role of Alpha cat. She rules the house, and Allie screams bloody murder when attacked.

“We are the Boys” – To say we are Gator fans is a bit of an understatement. Better put….we bleed Orange and Blue! College football season is a crazy time for us. We try not to miss any of the games, though it is hard for me, since a lot of my weekends are spent showing homes to clients. We both graduated from UF and still have a lot of friends that live in the Gainesville area. My parents live 45 minutes away in Ocala. The town and University will always have a special place in our hearts. We were married on campus, and never miss a chance to sing the Fight Song. We have since met a lot of Gators in the Charlotte area, all who seem just as devoted to the Gators. Many of our social outings center on Gator athletics, primarily football and basketball.

Wine-O’s – Since moving to Charlotte, we’ve acquired quite a taste for wine. Charlotte is just a short drive away from North Carolina Wine County, better known as Yadkin Valley. We’ve made several trips North on I-77 to taste wines from local wineries. It’s nice to support businesses in North Carolina while enjoying a quality product. Some of our favorite wineries I would suggest everyone to visit include, Raffaldini, Old North State Winery and Rag Apple Lassie. A nice day trip can be made visiting these wineries and meeting the friendly people who produce the wine. Charlotte is a great place for wine tastings and you can often find store tastings, wine classes and wine dinners across the entire city, no matter where you live.

So Many Parks – Most people hear the word park and think of a small patch of grass with a picnic table and maybe some swing sets. I thought the same thing…until we came to Charlotte. There is pretty much a park for everyone and anything you might want to do outdoor related here. From hiking and bike riding to picnicking and canoeing, the great parks throughout the Charlotte area are some of the best I’ve ever seen. We even have a Whitewater Park where you can go whitewater rafting down man-made rapids. The Olympic team even trains there!

Concerts – We’ve seen a wide variety of artists while in Charlotte. There are a lot of venues to choose from. We have an Amphitheatre and Bobcats Arena for large acts, while smaller bars and clubs offer some great intimate settings for less known acts to be discovered. Some that we’ve seen include U2, Dave Matthews Band, Sister Hazel, The Fray and Tim Reynolds.

I’m sure I’ll add more to this page as I remember other things that we love to do. There’s always something going on in this city, and I think I might use this page to highlight some of that.

Come buy a house so we can enjoy this city together!!!
